[cf. Index entry for London No. 28, St. Mary Aldermary, another church in which a Saxon font is reported in earlier times]. St. Etheldreda's does not appear in Stow's 'Remarks on London' (1722) does not mention St. Etheldreda's, but it does mention "Elyhouse Chapel, upon Holbourn Hill".
