The entry for this church in Oscar M. Ruiz Pérez' Cantabria Románica [www.cantabriaromanica.com/articulos/san-andres-de-valdelomar] [accessed 3 March 2021] notes: "En el interior alberga una pila románica troncocónica, decorada con bocel en la embocadura." Baptismal font of stone consisting of a roughly hemispherical -between that and bucket-shaped- basin raised on a cylindrical stem and a square plinth; the basin has roll mouldings at both end; it appears that the upper end of the stem is actually a lower extension of the underbowl; it fits into the actual base which is wider than the extension and, like the basin, it has a roll moulding at the top; there is damage at opposite ends of the upper rim of the basin, damage likely caused by former metal anchorings for an earlier cover. No cover present now.
