There are two entries for this Frome in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/ST7747/frome/] [accessed 22 August 2022], one of which mentions "1 church. 8.0 church lands" in it. Baptismal font probably of late-medieval design consisting of an octagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with a large quatrefoil motif on each face; the upper rim is chamfered, the lower moulded; it is raised on an octagonal pedestal base decorated with a tall and blind trefoiled arch on each side; moiulded lower base; no plinth; octagonal cover, flat and with metal inserts, appears modern. [NB: the church building dates from the 1840s, so it is possible this is a Victorian font of 15th-century design]
