No entry found for Bosherston in the Domesday survey. Noted in the RCAHMW (Pembroke, 1925): "The font has been scraped and altered type commonly found in the county." Described in Lloyd et al. (2004): "Font -- Apparently a refashioning of the Norman one", of "cushion-capital form". According to this Parish web site [www.revjones.fsnet.co.uk/bosherston/], "it is now lead lined and covered with an oak lid". In Thurlby (2006). The listing for this church in British Listed Buildings [https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300005927-st-michael-and-all-angels-church-stackpole-and-castlemartin] [accessed 9 March 2024] notes: "Church of perhaps C12, extensively restored in 1855 [...] Square Norman font, scraped."
