There is an entry for Billinghay [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TF1554/billinghay/] [accessed 14 May 2018], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Sutton (1904) writes: "The font has an octagonal bowl with tracery carved on the sides, the lower part has been cut away." Noted in Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989): "Octagonal, with the simplest Perp[endicular] panel tracery." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF1568254938] reports: "The stone octagonal, bowl and stem, font is C14 with 2-light panel tracer to each face".
