The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 1 February 2021] notes: "la iglesia, con el muro meridional romá-nico, está dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora [...] tiene una hermosa portada romá-nica, adintelada, “de discípulos del segundo artista de Silos, siglo XII [...] precioso tímpano de la Adoración de los Magos, enmarcada con 20 figuras [...] la pila es románica, de copa lisa y base cuadrada." Baptismal font consisting of a plain hemispherical basin raised on a roughly cylindrical stem and a quadrangular lower base; the basin still shows one of the iron staples of the old cover, and is broken with a piece missing at the back, upper rim; the two parts of the base appear of a different stone and may be of a later date.
