Font Notes:
Medieval/late-medieval baptismal font consisting of an oval basin raised on a slender pedestal base which is ill-matched and may not be the original. The basin sides taper in from the top and the upper rim has a flat moulding with human heads framed by semicircles (hair? ruffle?) protruding from it at the four cardinal points; an inscription is barely visible on the moulding, though it is very worn -or barely scratched- and not clear whether or not it was part of the original design. The font may belong to the 15th-century reconstruction of the abbey church.
