Described in Blatch (1995: 324): "The main font is octagonal and panelled. The moulded bowl of black marble bears the inscription --"this font was erected at the charge of Tho. Hyll churchwarden 1622.' The stem is of painted freestone, whilst the upper panels are carved with roses and the lower have cusped heads." [cf. Index entry for London No. 38 for an earlier font found in the same church]
