Reported in Allen (1839?) as ''a handsome polygonal basin of white marble, beautifully sculptured with cherub's head and foliage, and supported by a pillar of the same material'' attributed to Gibbons. Described in Blatch (1995): "Font. Decorated with four cherubs' heads and dating from 17th century, it has a 18th century cover." [NB: the church dates back at least to the 14th century, but we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church].
