Font Notes:
Roughly rectangular object, with one side slightly pointed, as it is common in this type of "oil font" [=pica d'oli] of the Catalan Pyrenees. This one is totally plain, with the rather narrow opening of the well at the top and an old wooden cover [cf. entry for Barcelona No. 6, for instance, for an example of a decorated one with a large opening -- note that both the date and the purpose of these 'fonts' are a contentious issue yet to be satisfactorily resolved]. Cabestany, Matas & Palau (2005) suggest a medieval date [cf. Index entries for Cerbi Nos. 1 and 3 for two other objects listed for this church]
