The Ecclesiastical and Architectural Topography of England: Oxfordshire (1850) notes: "The font is small, plain, and round." Described in 'Church notes...' (1887) in the context of some "notes [that] were taken between 1835 and 1840": "The font, well suited for imitation, seems early Decorated". Described and illustrated in Keyser (1918): "The font [...] has a circular bowl with moulded border round upper and lower part on a rude hexagonal stem and circular plinth. It is probably of Early English period. It has a small Georgian cover. Farther west there is a large semicircular stone, part of a plinth perhaps of an earlier font." Noted in Sherwood & Pevsner (1974): "C13 tub with wooden Jacobean cover."
