Font Notes:
Late baptismal font of the Victorian period in the 1884 church by J.L. Pearson. It is included here as a sample of a Victorian rendition of a classical medieval type of font: the table-top mounted on a central shaft and four angle colonnettes. The gayly coloured cover is unlike any other lid classified in this Index.
