In Gough (1792): "octagon, and placed in the middle of the nave." Described in the inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. III: 205): "Font: octagonal bowl, with hollowed under-edge, and octagonal stem, mediæval." [cf. Index entry for Wigmore No. 2 for a 14th-century holy-water stoup in this church] [NB: the same inventory (ibid.) lists a "part of an octagonal bowl" among the miscellanea in this church, but no details of style or dating -- object not listed in this Index]
