Described and illustrated in the inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. III: 72 and pl. 56): "Font[...]: bowl of scalloped octagonal plan, cut down, with cable-necking, 12th-century, lower part and stem modern." This font has acquired a strange appearance through the changes effected on it: the replacement of the lower half of the basin, below the thick rope moulding, splays out in an exagerated way and is decorated with an incised zig-zag motif all around; the stem of the base, much narrower, is cylindrical and plain except for end mouldings top and bottom; the lower base is square, as is the wider plinth, both plain. The font is covered with a flat octagonal lid, wooden with metal reinforcements, and appears modern as well.
