Described and illustrated in the inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. III: xxxvi, 32 and pl. 55): "Font[...]: Round bowl splayed back in the lower part and with incised zigzag band round the top, plain stem, early 12th-century." The illustration from this source shows evident damage to the basin sides; the font is raised on a double plinth, modern, the upper step octagonal, the lower, square.
