There are two entries for Brampton [Abbotts] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SO6026/brampton-abbotts/] [accessed 17 May 2018], neither of which mentions cleric or church in it. The inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. II: 23 and pl. 55) notes: "Font [...]: octagonal bowl with quatrefoiled panels each with central enrichment or carved cusp-points, trumpet-shaped stem with panelled and traceried faces and modern lower part, late 15th-century." [NB: an ornate wooden cover appears on the font in the illustration above but no mention of it is made in the inventory text]. The CRSBI (2018) reports a 12th-century piscina in this church.
