There is an entry for Stretton [Grandison] [variant spalling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SO6344/stretton-grandison/] [accessed 20 July 2015], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. A font here is described in the inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. II: 175): "A re-set doorway in the chancel and perhaps the N.E. angle of the chancel may date from the 12th century, but the church generally was re-built in the 14th century [...] Font: hexagonal bowl, each face with a quatrefoiled panel, plain stem and modern base, 14th-century."
