view of church interior - looking east

Scene Description: Source caption: "St Mary, Walterstone. Looking East. Almost everything here is the work of Thomas Nicholson, who 'restored' the church in 1869. His chancel arch is described as 'gauche' by Pevsner. He always had just the word or phrase. All fittings are by Nicholson. The church is delightfully set with magnificent views towards the Skirrid."
