The present font is made of brownish marble and consists of a tall octagonal basin with tapering panelled sides; short moulded octagonal lower base. Plain flat wooden cover with handle; modern. [NB: we have no information on the original baptismal in which St. Antony of Padua [named Fernando Bulhões and born in Lisbon] was baptised in/ca. 1195].
