Noted and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM08000168] as a baptismal font of the 12th century made of "pierre bleue de Givet". The Diocèse de Reims-Ardennes [http://catholique-reims.cef.fr] [accessed May 2000] reports a Romanesque baptismal font in this church. The baptismal font consists of a round basin with four protruding human heads at 90-degree angles; the stone that now forms the underbowl, the stem and the lower base are all modern replacements. The surface of the font appears to be painted, masking thus the blueish colour of the limestone. The metal cover is octagonal, in the shape of a collapsed dome, and totally unmatched to the font; was it made for another font?
