The 12th century object now serving as the baptismal font at the église St-Jean Baptiste at Le Perreux-sur-Marne was originally a holy-water stoup from the old church at Noisy-le-Grand [source: www.ville-leperreux.fr] Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM94000009]: "Bénitier ; fonts baptismaux [...] H = 112 ; la = 81 ; pr = 60 (dimensions totales) ; cuve : h = 28 [...] Grès (monolithe) : taillé, godronné (décor en haut relief) ; calcaire (monolithe) : taillé [...] Cuve ovale, revers sculpté ; couvercle : deux abattants [...] Cuve de bénitier du 17e ou 18e siècle, provenant de l'ancienne église de Noisy-le-Grand, donnée par la famille Barrau ; elle a été munie d'un pied et d'un couvercle et sert de fonts baptismaux [...] La cuve du bénitier sert maintenant de fonts baptismaux ; godron central de la face postérieure mutilé [...] Inscription (sur partie rapportée) [...] BENITIER DU 12E SIECLE PROVENANT DE L'ANCIENNE EGLISE DE NOISY-LE-GRAND DON DE MR ET MME BARRAU (plaque de cuivre sur le pied)" Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: IVR11_19859401616X].
