Illustrated in Gómez Rascón (2003: p. 173, pl. 25): bucket-shaped baptismal font decorated with a single inscribed Maltese cross; the motif is located on the side of the basin near the upper rim. The vessel, which is described in Gómez Rascón;'s catalogue as a Visigothic-Mozarabic immersion font [= "pila visigótico-mozárabe […] de bautismo por inmersión"], is dated to the 10th century, originally from Castrillino, a hamlet in the municipality of Villaquilambre, N of León capital, and now in the care of the Museo Catedralicio Diocesano in this town. Despite the claim by this author and the dating assigned in the Museo's label the font is probably 12th-century.
