Listed in Stabb's 'Some Old Devon Churches' (1908) as a Norman font. Davies (1962: 70) [after Coulton (1936, vol. II: 451)] informs that "In 1342 a visitation of the Totnes Archdeaconry revealed that [...] at Abbot's Kerswell 'the font is not covered nor locked'".
