An entry in the Clare County Library [https://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/places/kilfenora_interest.htm] [accessed 23 July 2025] reports: "beyond the second doorway there is a large square stone baptismal font which may date from around 1200 as its decoration matches that on the chancel's east window"; The font is noted as "a fine fluted font of the later twelfth century is at Kilfenora Cathedral" in T.J.
