Reported in Westropp (1895) as "a plain late font". Described in the Journal of Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland (1900), in a relation of a "Fourth excursion", probably by Thomas J. Westropp, a fellow of the Society: "Kilcorney church is worth a short visit, for though only a few ivied fragments remain, they enclose a curious font cut out of a single square block". Noted and illustrated in The CRSBI [http://www.crsbi.ac.uk/id/cl/kilco/index.htm] [accessed 30 September 2007]: "Font. Lying in the nave. Square bowl with plain chamfered sides and a central drain hole, with a short square stem. The base is separate and similarly chamfered".
