Reported in Crawford (1925: 57 [read to the Society on 4 March 1924]) simply as a "holy water stoup" found in the ruins of the ancient church of Cloone or Cloneamery. The entry for Clonamery in the CRSBI [https://www.crsbi.ac.uk/view-item?i=15414] [accessed 1 August 2025] notes: "The church was an ancient foundation dedicated to St Bronndan. It was recorded as a prebendal church as far back as 1300. According to local tradition the church continued in use as a Catholic chapel up to the defeat of Edward Fitzgerald at the Battle of Aughrim in 1691" but mentions no font or stoup in it. [cf. Index entry for Cloneamery No. 1 for a fragment of the baptismal font reported in the same site]
