Described and illustrated in Ronan (1928: 140 and pl. on p. 138): "A baptismal font, rudely formed, with a basin cut 10 inches deep, lies buried in the ground at the S. wall". The site is referred earlier in this text as "In the middle of the burial place in the village of Rathnew are portions of the old church". Both texts are given in quotation marks in Ronan, who cites O'Curry's Wicklow Letters as source
