Scene Description: Source caption: "Westansicht der Ruprechtskirche im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Innere Stadt.

The present font in this church is interesting in several respects; the basin is [sort of] octagonal, the sides alternating between shield-shaped and rounded links between them; the shield-shaped sides are now blank, but may have been painted originally; some [all?] the link side have a running inscription on them, which includes the letters MD, supposedly for the date 1500; the basin has a metal [bronze?] insert, much in the manner of such inserts but the back is raised and bears an inscription [16+1Z = 1612?]; the pedestal base is square with stops down the sides. There is neither neither plinth nor cover present.
