The index to the "Letters containing information relative to the antiquities of the County of Waterford, collected during the progress of the Ordnance Survey in 1841" lists under no.135 for the Parish of Kilmolash, Co. Waterford, the following entry: "Near this doorway [i.e., the west gable doorway on the south wall of the ruined old church of St. Molash] is a holy water which had some ornaments, now nearly effaced".
