In Cogan (1992 c1862, vol. I: 350). Described in Roe (1968: 122-123): "a substantial, flat-bottomed vessel, rather poorly finished and of uncommon shape, having six sides varying in dimensions [...]; one panel is wider than any of the others and forms a right angle with any of the panels adjoining; of the the three other panels, one is wide and two are narrow". The well of the basin is described as round with a centre drain. Roe (ibid.) remarks that "the curious shape of this vessel might suggest that it was not free-standing but was set with the widest side directly against the wall or pillar, being supported, presumably[.] on some form of corble or bracket". This font is mentioned also in a later source [http://cloghmore.bravepages.com] where it is reported that "the basin of a stone font sits just outside the west end of the church" -- this source has reference dates of 1984-1994, probably the period when the information was gathered. The font, "a rectangular font with 2 chamfered corners in the graveyard" is also included in the Draft Development Plan from the County [source: www.meath.ie/DraftDevPlan/Volume3/1_4.htm]
