Described in Building News, vol. VI (1860): 889) as an octagonal font dated 1663 with the comment "does not appear to have ever posessed much beauty" [as reported in the web site www.westgallerychurches.com/gallery.html which adds: "No ref. to it in Pevsner"]. The inventory for Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. II: 144) has: "Font: In churchyard -- octagonal bowl, with moulded edges and the date 1663." [NB: the date must be from an inscription somewhere on the basin]. The church here is listed in the CRSBI [https://www.crsbi.ac.uk/view-item?i=13230] [accessed 31 July 2025] but it mentions no font of the period in it.
