Described in Roe (1968: 111) as a medieval baptismal font found "in a field on the farm of Miss Mary Ennis", a site which, Roe explains, has never had any religious association. There is no information on the provenance of this bowl, which is described as "flat-bottomed with four wide sides and four narrow, the lower part of the sides being shallowly chamfered"; the well is round with a central drain. Roe (ibid.) points out that "remains of the sockets for the attachment of a cover occur on the rim of one of the narrow panels". [NB: Roe uses spelling "Clonicavant" for the location]
