Illustrated in Valle Pérez (2003: 43): baptismal font perhaps of late date, certainly much later than the crude holy-water stoup [listed in this Index as Franqueira No. 2] located on the left side of the chancel (?) arch in this church. The font consists of a hemispherical basin decorated with concave ribbed pattern and, on the underbowl, over the end of the ribs, large high-relief foliage; the basin is mounted on a square pedestal base that appears totally plain. The basin has had a hood-like back, made of stone also, in the shape of a 1/4 of a sphere, more commonly found as backdrop to stoups or fonts that are wall-mounted.
