Described in Castillo López (1987 c1972) as a baptismal font of the 15th century. The font consists of a hexagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, the sides proper decorated with large interlaced zigzags, the underbowl with stylised foliage and a roll moulding below; raised on a hexagonal-to-octagonal pedestal base, and a moulded octagonal lower base. There is no cover present, but one of the sides of upper basin rim has a gap that may indicate the location of a damaging anchoring for a cover. Also in the cathedral is an odd-looking vessel that appears to be used as holy-water stoup is also found in this cathedral: it is shaped like a number eight on its side, having almost two basins, inside and out, but not fully separated; the decoration on its sides includes a roll moulding at the upper rim, a two-strand braid right below, a row of ball-in-socket like pattern, and a set of round arch-heads at the bottom. It rest directly on the ground. Was it always a stoup?
