Listed in Brunius (1850: 507). Described in Tynell (1913-1921: 113): medieval baptismal font of the Hallaröd group, ornamented like the font at Billinge [cf. Index entry], with a band of inverted fleur-de-lis. Noted in Reutersvärd (1967). Described in Drake (2002: 184) as a Romanesque font, one of the Blentarp-iii group of goblet-shaped fonts "with hanging lillies", a group in which Drake includes the fonts at Billinge, Hallaröd, Perstorp, Simlinge and Södra Åby [cf. corresponding Index entries]. The 18th-century wooden canopy above the font is the work of Jakob Ullberg. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900517F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200 by a regional workshop. No cover present. Baptismal dish made of brass in 1688.
