Described in Tynell (1913-1921: 78): medieval baptismal font of the Hallaröd group, ornamented like the font at nearby Billinge [cf. Index entry], with a band of inverted fleur-de-lis. Noted in Reutersvärd (1967). Note in Nordström (1984). Described in Drake (2002: 184) as a Romanesque font, one of the Blentarp-iii group of goblet-shaped fonts "with hanging lillies", a group in which Drake includes the fonts at Billinge, Hallaröd, Perstorp, Simlinge and Södra Åby [cf. corresponding Index entries]. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900623F3] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the forts half of the 13th century by a regional workshop. No cover present. The brass baptismal dish in use is 16th-century.
