Font Notes:
Described in Berggren (2002: 171) as a baptismal font of the Paradise group; the geological analysis of the stone shows that it probably comes from the same limestone quarry and bed as those from Bruges, Koszalin and Poïde [cf. corresponding Index entries]. The entry for this church in Kyrko Kartan [https://www.svenskakyrkan.se/vastravikbolandet/dagsbergs-kyrka] [accessed 28 July 2025] however, mentions a stone font of the 17th century with traces of painting imitating marbling: "Dopfunten är av sten och tillverkad under 1600-talet med spår av bemålning i en enkel marmorimitation och förgyllning." The font illustrated by Barbro Thörn [https://www.kyrkokartan.se/055697/images/55697_97174356] [accessed 28 July 2025] appears to be a totally different font: a roughly hemispherical basin with a single moulding around its middle, raised on a round-to-square pedestal base. The entry for this church in Kringla [https://www.kringla.nu/kringla/objekt;jsessionid=01947EA98D5DAD6402C6E5ED909C4AB8?0&text=fattiga&antal=96&sida=48&referens=raa/bbr/21300000004266] [accessed 28 July 2025] does mention another font, actually parts of a medieval font, in the burial chapel: "I gravkapellet förvaras delar till en medeltida dopfunt".
