Church Notes: church ca. 1300-1333; became cathedral of the diocese in 1972
Baptismal font of the "Paradise" font ["Paradisfunt"] type. Illustrated in Berggren (2002: 158 pl. 13): polygonal basin with rounded underbowl decorated with a scotia at the upper basin side, and a blind arcade of trefoiled arches all around the sides and underbowl; the base consists of an upper cylindrical portion raised on a round splaying out lower volume, both plain. Berggren (ibid.) points out its similarity with the basin at the church of St-Giles, Bruges, in Belgium.
