Catalogued and illustrated in La chiesa di Jesi (2000: 276) as item 343 [b]: one of two couchant stylophore lions made of ochre/brownish marble by Giorgio da Como ca. 1230, formerly located outside the entrance. Both have been reused as the bases of holy-water stoups and placed at either side of the entrance, inside the church, with Baroque-looking stoups on their backs. The lion located at the left of the entrance holds a lamb between its claws [cf. Index entries for Jesi No. 3 for the lion on the other side of the entrance, and Jesi No. 1 for the 15th-century baptismal font]
