Described and illustrated in Tynell (1913-1921: 75 and pl. XXXV: 5): medieval baptismal font perhaps of sandstone, of the Genarp group, similar to the font at Finja; the basin is cylindrical with vertical sides decorated with large palmettes and a roll moulding at the bottom; the underbowl is hemispherical and decorated with ribbed pattern; the base consists of two separate parts, a round upper level with a ring moulding at the top and a splayed lower end, and a square lower base. Noted and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936) in her section on palmett fonts. Drake (2002: 148, 184) lists it as a variant of the palmette goblets Bosarp and Dagestorp groups. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 951003F3] as a 'palmettgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200; the SHM entry remarks that, although the inner basin is full of sand there is evidence of a drain hole in it. No cover present. As noted in Kringla [https://kringla.nu/kringla/objekt?referens=raa/bbr/21400000439892] [accessed 23 July 2021] and illustrated in the SHM [cf. ImagesArea], the font has been raised on a brick platform. The baptismal dish was donated to the church in 1947.
