Cognate Fonts: Other fonts of this group
Described in Tynell (1913-1921: 67) as a medieval baptismal font of the Borrby group decorated with foliage/tendril motifs. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950705F2] as a 'ciborietyp' baptismal font made of limestone in the mid-13th century, topped by a font cover made by Matias Stenberg in 1729; the cover has a sculpture of the Baptism of Christ by John the Baptist. There is a very ornate Baroque canopy over the font.
