Described in López de Silanes Valgañón (2000) as one of two baptismal fonts of the 13th century, both with basins decorated with ribbed pattern. Described and illustrated in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) and in the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008) as a basin of a Romanesque baptismal font now kept at the west end of the Iglesia de San Miguel, Robres del Castillo; not know whether the font is from the Ermita de Santa Maria, also in Robres, or one of the surrounding hamlets now abandoned. The hemispherical basin actually has a more sophisticated [just!] design than the main font, as its ribbed pattern is actually carved and well-defined, however damaged. Sáenz Rodríguez (ibid.) dates it to the late-12th century.
