Baptismal font listed and illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP80L032447] [https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/notice/memoire/AP80L032447] [accessed 24 July 2022]. Baptismal font the basin of which is decorated with an odd combination of motifs and an inscription, all of it much later than the old Romanesque church, perhaps the 16th century if not later: the front side has a large roundel with a cross inscribed; the cross itself is made of 3-strand arms, and the circle has a motif all around that inscribes both the cross and the four fleur-de-lis motifs at the angles of the arms; above this roundel, an upside-down dove, the symbol of the Holy Spirit; on the sides, three registers of decoration: at the top a Latin inscription [cf. Inscription area]; in the middle, a pattern of flames or stylised foliage; at the bottom, a pattern of diagonal ribs; the lower rim of the basin ends in a band of saw-tooth motif. The underbowl is slightly rounded and decorated with a reticular inscised pattern. The base is cylindrical, the sides decorated with a blind arcade of round arches; below these, a roll moulding, all of a design that might well belong to a much earlier period than the basin. [NB: we have no information on the font(s) of the medieval church here]
