Described in Ranquet (1940): a barrel-shaped object that used to be next to the baptismal font in this church [cf. Index entry for St-Estèphe No. 1] but was later moved outside, to the public square. Ranquet describes how the exterior of this stoup has been carved to imitate the staves and metal rings of a wooden barrel, even to a false hole on the side to resemble that of a barrel [the actual drain whole is on the bottom end of the stoup. According to Ranquet (ibid.) this stoup is made from the same stone as two measures dated to the 16th century that served to collect the tithes, one for grain/dry goods, the other for liquids, and therefore suggests the same date for the former stoup.
