Font Notes:
Described in Ranquet (1940): monolithic baptismal font, probably of the 11th century, partly built into the north wall of the nave; the basin is square, with a round well, made of local limestone; the angles are decorated with columns; this same source notes that the capitals of these columns bear ornamentation but that they are now [ca. 1940] too worn to distinguish the motifs; the same is true of other apparent ornamentation on the basin sides, the only identifiable one being a band of saw-tooth. [cf. Index entry for St-Estèphe No. 2 for a holy-water stoup in this church]
