Described in Heales (1889: 39) as a baptismal font of approximately the same period and style as those at Rønne and Østermarie [cf. Index entries under these names], also on the island of Bornholm. The period would be "Decorated" [i.e., Gothic] and the dating in the late 13th to early 15th century. The shape of the font is stated in Heales (ibid.) as "quite of the hock-glass form". Listed in Mackeprang (1941). The font is listed and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [https://nmdanmarkskirkerprod.blob.core.windows.net/files/Bornholm_556-572.pdf] [accessed 20 June 2025] as a late-Romanesque limestone Gotland export font with reference to Mackeprang [cf. supra] -- the baptismal dish is described as made in southern Germany ca. 1575 decorated with the Annunciation and other motifs: "Døbefonten (fig. 9) er et senromansk gotlandsk eksportarbejde af kalksten tilhørende den »rundbuede bægerbladstype« (sml. S. Povls kirke s. 550). Fonten adskiller sig fra flertallet ved, at foden er kantet med en rundstav uden om den vanlige, brede hulkel. Tvm. ca. 80 cm. Mackeprang: Døbefonte s. 412. Dåbsfad fra o. 1575, af sydtysk herkomst. I bunden er en fremstilling af bebudelsen, og på randen flere rækker indstemplede ornamenter. Tvm. 52 cm. Efter en instandsættelse 1943 er fadet taget i brug igen efter i en årrække at have været erstattet af et fad af sølvplet."
