Described and illustrated in Heales (1889: 38 and fig. 14) as a baptismal font of the 13th or 14th century consisting of a plain cylindrical basin raised on a short base that starts at the top with a ring moulding and ends in a square shape with the slanted sides decorated with a stylised ornamental motif resembling foliage. [NB: Heales uses the English style-date system and places this font somewhere in the Early English [1190-1250] or Decorated [1250-1350] periods].
