Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León. Segovia (vol. II, p. 1331). Romanesque baptismal font probably of the 12th or 13th century consisting of a hemispherical basin raised on a round pedestal base and a circular plinth. The upper basin side has a band of three-strand zig-zag all around; the sides of the basin and underbowl are decorated with a ribbed pattern alternating thin and thick ribs, the thin ribs topped with a series of human heads, twelve in all, male and female. The artisan(s) who carved made an effort to differentiate the heads in this font with individual characteristics [cf. the font at Elcano, Navarra, for another such instance]. The base consists of a round pedestal made of three fat round mouldings and a tallish multi-part circular pedestal. No cover present.
