Havelberg No. 1

The entry for this church in the Routen der Romanik in Berlin und Brandenburg [https://rrbb.info/westliche-route/dom-st-marien-havelberg/] [accessed 26 January 2024] mentions a Renaissance font of 1587 installed in it in 1587/1588 ["Taufstein von 1587 [...] 1587/88 noch der Renaissance-Taufstein aufgestellt"]. The entry for this church in the Straße der Romanik [https://geschichtstouren.de/strasse-der-romanik/nordroute/havelberger-dom/?L=978] [accessed 26 January 2024] states the font was installed here in 1587, and is the only furnishing that remains from that period ["Der Taufstein wurde 1587 im Dom aufgestellt. Er ist das einzige aus dieser Zeit erhalten gebliebene Ausstattungsstück"]. No cover present. [NB: there appears to be a faint inscription on the upper surface of the basin rim. [NB: a medieval font, believed to be originally from the Havelberger Dom, but later moved to Räbel, and later still to Giesenslage, is listed in BSI under Giesenslage].
