Baptismal font originally from an old chapel dedicated to St. Mary, turned into Ancienne collégiale in 1405; the latter was destroyed by a fire on 8 January 1600. The font was later installed in the new church that was consecrated in July 1887; this new church was consecrated as a basilica and dedicated to the Virgin on 29 July 1934. The baptismal font is made of granit and dates from the 14th century; it consists of a polygonal [octagonal?] basin the sides of which are decorated with a blind arcade of narrow arches on the vertical parts, whereas the rounded upper sides are decorated with rosettes. The base is a column cluster and the lower base appears octagonal and plain. Like many other fonts in this area of France, the basin has a protruding secondary basin to one side. The domed wooden cover is the work of Jeanne Malivel and was made in 1921.
